Local Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – LTC / Rehab - Bangs, TX
Up to $1,950 per Week | 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Connected Health Care, a leading healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is partnered with a respected Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation facility in Bangs, Texas to hire a Local Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week assignment. Position Overview
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will support occupational therapy services for residents in a long-term care and post-acute rehab setting, helping patients improve functional abilities required for daily living.
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on activities of daily living
- Support patients with self-care, mobility, and functional task training
- Document patient progress accurately and timely in the EMR
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safety strategies
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Education and Certification Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Texas COTA license
- Current CPR or BLS certification
- Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills
Compensation and Contract Details
- 13-week local travel contract
- Weekly compensation up to $1,950, based on experience
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirements
