Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Spearfish, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Compensation: Up to $1,800 per week (based on experience)

Job Description
- Assist Occupational Therapists in planning and implementing therapeutic programs for patients of all ages.
- Help patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the therapy and nursing teams.
- Maintain treatment areas and equipment in a clean and safe manner.
- Provide compassionate and personalized care to promote patient independence and recovery.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, equipment use, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Adhere to facility and professional standards while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Active COTA license in the state of South Dakota (or eligibility to obtain).
- NBCOT certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing, acute, or outpatient rehab setting preferred.
- Open to first-time travelers!
