Job Description:
As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans and assisting in diagnostic imaging procedures. You will work closely with physicians and radiologists to ensure the proper imaging results are captured for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive healthcare environment while enjoying the scenic beauty and outdoor activities of Alturas, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality to meet diagnostic needs.
- Review patient history and communicate with the medical team regarding any concerns or special considerations.
- Collaborate with radiologists to analyze and interpret images.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control standards during procedures.
- Operate CT imaging equipment and ensure it is properly maintained.
- Provide patient education and address any questions or concerns during procedures.
- Assist with other imaging duties as required by the department.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required.
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1+ years of CT experience preferred, but new grads with CT certification will also be considered.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in performing CT scans and related diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced workload.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and address technical issues.
