Travel/Contract Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) – Concord, North Carolina
13-Week Contract | Weekly Pay Up to $2,250 (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care, a nationally recognized recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (CVICU RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Concord, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled team in a high-acuity setting while enjoying everything this dynamic and growing region has to offer.

Job Description – CVICU RN Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive, specialized care to patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries or dealing with life-threatening heart conditions

  • Monitor hemodynamic status, manage complex cardiac medications, and operate life support systems

  • Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Respond quickly to changes in patient condition, including code situations

  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to facility protocols and national best practices

  • Educate patients and families about cardiac care, treatments, and post-hospital recovery

Contract Details

  • Length: 13 Weeks

  • Compensation: Up to $2,250/week (based on experience)

  • Schedule:

    • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend

    • No on-call requirement

    • Holiday expectations: Traveler will work 75% of holidays

Licensure & Certifications Required

  • Active RN License – North Carolina or Compact State

  • BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)

  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

  • NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale

Education Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ICU or CVICU experience strongly preferred
