Job Description

Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Pikeville, KY

Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel ER Registered Nurse for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity in Pikeville, KY. This is the perfect role for experienced ER nurses looking to work in a dynamic Level I/II trauma environment while enjoying the natural beauty and rich culture of eastern Kentucky.

Assignment Overview:

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

  • Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM | 12-Hour Mid Shifts

  • Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday rotation

  • Float Requirements: None

  • On-Call/Call-Back Requirements: None

  • Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,370/week (based on experience)

Job Description:

  • Deliver emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Level I/II trauma setting

  • Rapidly assess patients and prioritize care based on acuity

  • Administer medications, perform wound care, and initiate life-saving interventions

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to stabilize critical patients

  • Document all patient interactions using EPIC EMR system

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety protocols

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Active Kentucky or Compact RN license

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center

  • Required Certifications (must be current):

  • AHA BLS

  • AHA ACLS

  • AHA PALS

  • NIHSS

  • TNCC

  • Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills

  • Experience with EPIC charting required
