Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Pikeville, KY
Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel ER Registered Nurse for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity in Pikeville, KY. This is the perfect role for experienced ER nurses looking to work in a dynamic Level I/II trauma environment while enjoying the natural beauty and rich culture of eastern Kentucky.
Assignment Overview:

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM | 12-Hour Mid Shifts

Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday rotation
-
Float Requirements: None
-
On-Call/Call-Back Requirements: None

Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,370/week (based on experience)
Job Description:
-
Deliver emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Level I/II trauma setting
-
Rapidly assess patients and prioritize care based on acuity
-
Administer medications, perform wound care, and initiate life-saving interventions
-
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to stabilize critical patients
-
Document all patient interactions using EPIC EMR system
-
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety protocols
Education & Certification Requirements:
-
Active Kentucky or Compact RN license
-
Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
-
Required Certifications (must be current):
-
AHA BLS
-
AHA ACLS
-
AHA PALS
-
NIHSS
-
TNCC
Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills
Experience with EPIC charting required
