Local Travel ER Registered Nurse – Pikeville, KY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,370 (based on experience)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12-Hour Days
Schedule: Every Other Weekend & Holiday
No Float | No On-Call | No Callback

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a local travel contract with a respected Level II Trauma Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. This opportunity is perfect for ER nurses ready to take on fast-paced environments while enjoying consistent weekday scheduling and competitive compensation.

Job Description:

  • Provide direct care to patients in a busy emergency department setting

  • Triage and assess patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions

  • Administer medications and treatments based on protocols and physician orders

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, providers, and other healthcare professionals

  • Accurately chart all patient care using EPIC EMR

  • Maintain knowledge of emergency care techniques, trauma protocols, and life-saving interventions

  • Respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure trauma scenarios

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Active Kentucky RN license or Compact State RN license

  • Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be submitted upon submittal)

  • EKG exam required during onboarding

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience

  • Must have Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience

  • Proficient in EPIC charting
