Travel ER Respiratory Therapist – Wausau, WI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekly Pay: Up to $2,850 Based on Experience

Connected Health Care, a top-tier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled Travel ER Respiratory Therapist to join a high-performing healthcare team in Wausau, Wisconsin. If you're a seasoned therapist with a passion for emergency care and prior travel experience, this is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while exploring a vibrant, nature-rich region of the Midwest.

Position Details:

  • Location: Wausau, WI

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

  • On Call: None

  • Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday rotation

  • Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,850/week based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver respiratory therapy treatments to patients in the Emergency Department

  • Monitor and manage ventilator settings and airway management interventions

  • Administer medications and perform diagnostics such as ABGs and EKGs

  • Respond to emergency situations including code blues and rapid responses

  • Accurately document patient care and respiratory assessments

  • Collaborate with ER staff and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred)

  • Active Wisconsin RT License (or eligibility to obtain)

  • NBRC RRT Certification required; CRT accepted

  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required

  • Advanced NRP preferred but not required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in respiratory therapy

  • Previous travel assignment experience is required
