Travel ER Respiratory Therapist – Wausau, WI
13-Week Contract | Weekly Pay Up to $2,850 (DOE)
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing agency, is seeking an experienced Travel/Contract ER Respiratory Therapist for an exciting night shift opportunity at a top-rated facility in Wausau, Wisconsin. This assignment is ideal for a seasoned respiratory professional with a strong emergency and NICU background looking to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
-
Provide respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Room and NICU settings
-
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation management
-
Perform intubations, airway care, blood gas analysis, and resuscitation procedures as needed
-
Respond quickly to critical situations, including code blue and rapid response calls
-
Monitor and adjust life support equipment based on patient condition and provider instructions
-
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team to deliver coordinated care
-
Accurately document interventions using facility EMR system
Shift & Schedule:
-
6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts
-
Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
-
No on-call/call-back requirements
Qualifications:
-
Active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license
-
NBRC RRT certification required
-
AHA BLS, ACLS, and Advanced NRP certifications required
-
Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy required
-
3+ years of respiratory therapy experience
-
NICU experience required for night shifts
-
Previous travel experience required
-
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to adapt in emergency situations
