Local Travel ER Respiratory Therapist - Nights - Wausau, WI

Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Local Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Wausau, WI. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced emergency setting while advancing your career with a leading recruitment and staffing firm.

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours
Shift Requirements: 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
On-Call/Call-Back Requirements: N/A

Job Description:

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient care areas, including the Emergency Department and general care units.
• Perform ventilator management and advanced respiratory care for patients of all age groups.
• Respond to emergency situations, including Rapid Response and Code Blue calls.
• Utilize respiratory therapy equipment such as V60 BiPAP, Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators, and iSTAT analyzers.
• Document patient care in the Epic electronic medical record system.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) accepted for non-NICU positions.
• Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy License.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred for non-NICU roles; required for NICU positions.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience required.
• Previous travel experience required.

• Experience working in high-acuity settings, including emergency and critical care units.
• Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and implement respiratory care plans.
• Resilient and adaptable to change, able to work both independently and within a team.
• Professional and social candidates who can manage tasks efficiently.

• Closed-toe shoes.
• Scrubs (any color).
• No smoking or strong scents permitted.
• Piercings must comply with facility dress code policies.
