ER Respiratory Therapist – 8-Hour Day Shifts – Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Connected Health Care is partnering with a well-established healthcare facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to find an ER Respiratory Therapist for 8-hour day shifts. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing respiratory therapy services across various areas of the hospital, including the Emergency Department (ED), general care areas, and other facilities within the network.

Job Description:

• Provide respiratory therapy care for patients in the Emergency Department (ED), as well as in general care areas across the hospital, including critical care, med-surg, and trauma units.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatments.
• Work with physicians and nursing staff to assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions and those requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Float to multiple facilities, including Plover, Divine Savior, and Riverview locations as needed to provide respiratory support throughout the healthcare network.
• Provide emergency respiratory interventions in the ED and participate in patient assessments and care planning.
• Document all respiratory care interventions and patient progress in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Ensure safe and effective use of respiratory equipment, monitoring patients for adverse reactions to therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care, supporting a range of respiratory-related treatments.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• WI Respiratory Therapy License required.
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification preferred.
• Experience in emergency respiratory care and ventilator management is strongly preferred.

Required Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Experience in the Emergency Department (ED) is highly preferred.
• Ability to float between facilities, including Plover, Divine Savior, and Riverview locations.
• Strong knowledge of ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
