Job Description:

Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in the Emergency Room (ER) of a leading healthcare facility in Oconomowoc, WI. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assess and treat patients experiencing respiratory distress or other pulmonary-related conditions.
• Ventilator Management: Operate and maintain advanced ventilators and other respiratory care equipment.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with ER physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Emergency Interventions: Provide emergency respiratory care in critical situations, including intubation support and CPR assistance.
• Diagnostic Procedures: Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function tests, and oxygen titration.
• Documentation: Accurately record patient assessments, treatments, and progress in accordance with hospital policies.

Education + Certification Requirements:

• Active Respiratory Therapist License in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain before start).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRT may be considered with experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with at least 1 year in an ER setting preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
