Local Travel Emergency Room Respiratory Therapist – Albemarle, NC
13-Week Contract | Up to $1,950/Week DOE 

Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Local Travel Emergency Room Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment with a premier healthcare partner in Albemarle, North Carolina. If you're a passionate RRT or CRT with strong ER experience, this is your chance to make an impact while enjoying the charm of small-town North Carolina.

Position Overview

  • Location: Albemarle, NC

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Schedule: Full-time, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation

  • On Call: None required for travelers

  • Compensation: Up to $1,950/week based on experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments and emergency interventions for ER patients

  • Manage ventilators, administer oxygen therapy, and perform diagnostic testing (ABGs, pulse oximetry, etc.)

  • Collaborate with physicians, ER nurses, and fellow RTs to deliver fast, efficient, and high-quality care

  • Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system

  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and ready for emergency use

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care when appropriate

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

  • Active North Carolina Respiratory Care License

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

  • Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience, preferably in an ER or acute care setting

  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
