Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or higher from an accredited program
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience in hospital settings such as ED, ICU, PCU, or general medical floors; ventilator management including IPPV/NIPPV experience
  • Other Requirements: NC licensure, proficiency with EMR systems (EPIC), ability to float regionally, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work night shifts and holidays

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care for all patients throughout the facility, including ventilator management and IPPV/NIPPV support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and equipment usage within the EMR system (EPIC).
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory leadership, nurses, and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Execute patient treatments, including ventilator adjustments and monitoring, tailored to individual diagnoses and needs.
  • Float regionally as needed, ensuring coverage and compliance with all licensing and scope of practice requirements.
