Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse for a local travel contract opportunity with one of our top healthcare partners in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. This role is perfect for RNs who are dedicated to providing end-of-life care with dignity, compassion, and clinical excellence in a home or facility-based setting.
Job Description:
- Provide skilled and compassionate nursing care to hospice patients in their homes or hospice facilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized end-of-life care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary hospice team including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides
- Administer medications, manage symptoms, and perform wound care as needed
- Offer emotional and educational support to patients and families regarding disease progression and comfort measures
- Accurately document visits and maintain compliance with hospice standards and agency protocols
- Participate in on-call rotations as assigned and ensure timely communication of patient status changes
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho (or compact state license)
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Hospice RN experience required
- Strong understanding of hospice philosophy, pain management, and symptom control
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
