Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Chicago, Illinois

Connected Health Care is seeking a highly experienced Travel ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift assignment in Chicago, IL. This contract is ideal for an RN with a solid background in intensive care and telemetry, ready to work in a dynamic hospital environment in one of the nation’s most iconic cities.

Assignment Overview:

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

  • Shift: 12-Hour Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

  • Schedule Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday rotation

  • Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,700/week (based on experience)

  • On-Call Requirements: None

  • Float Requirements: May float to Telemetry or ED; may be assigned aide duties if needed

Job Description:

  • Deliver high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU

  • Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs to detect changes in patient condition

  • Administer medications, manage ventilators, and respond to emergencies

  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other care team members

  • Accurately document assessments, procedures, and care plans using Meditech EMR

  • Provide support to patient families and maintain professional bedside manner

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Active Illinois RN License

  • AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience with strong telemetry skills required

  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment

  • Meditech experience highly preferred
