Local Travel Registered Nurse – ICU Stepdown - Nights - Newburgh, IN
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | 12-Hour Nights
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,550 Based on Experience

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a highly skilled Local Travel ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse to join one of our trusted hospital partners in Newburgh, Indiana for a 13-week contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility while enjoying consistent scheduling, excellent pay, and the support of a reputable staffing agency.

Position Highlights:

  • 13-week local travel contract

  • Up to $2,550/week based on experience

  • 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-acuity care to patients transitioning from ICU-level care

  • Monitor and manage complex cardiac, pulmonary, and neurological conditions

  • Administer IVs, manage lines/drips, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition

  • Collaborate with ICU, ED, and other interdisciplinary teams

  • Accurately chart all interventions and observations using EPIC EMR (CUPID experience highly preferred)

  • Educate and support patients and families during recovery and discharge planning

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Active Compact Registered Nurse License (unencumbered)

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU Stepdown or Progressive Care experience

  • At least 1 completed travel assignment required (No new travelers)

  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required; CUPID experience highly preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
