Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
  • Certifications Requirements: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS, Valid State RN License (Compact License preferred), PALS (preferred)
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in Stepdown or ICU, and at least 1 travel assignment
  • Other Requirements: Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, resilience, ability to manage change, excellent communication, physical ability to stand for long periods

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients to provide safe and effective care in a stepdown environment.
  • Initiate and titrate drips such as antiarrhythmics, Heparin, and Insulin, following physician orders and protocol standards.
  • Interpret 12-lead EKGs and perform assessments, including NIHSS and neuro assessments, ensuring timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Educate patients and families regarding condition management, post-surgical care, and medication instructions.
