Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid registered nursing license in the state of Kentucky or multistate compact license
  • Certifications Requirements: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one solid year in stepdown or PCU units; prior travel assignment preferred
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass tele interpretation tests, strong assessment and critical thinking skills, resilient attitude, ability to manage change effectively

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown and PCU patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Initiate and titrate insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips according to physician orders and protocols
  • Conduct thorough assessments, monitor patient vitals, and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system, adhering to facility policies
