Local Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Portage, WI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM | 12-Hour Variable
Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,300 (Based on Experience)

Connected Health Care, a top-tier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking an experienced Local Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a critical access hospital located in Portage, Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity for a travel nurse who thrives in a supportive, patient-centered environment and is looking to bring compassionate care to expecting families in a beautiful small-town setting.

Position Overview:
The L&D RN will be responsible for supporting patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and newborn in a facility that values teamwork and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care during all stages of labor and delivery

  • Monitor fetal and maternal health, including administering medications and operating monitoring equipment

  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and neonatal staff to ensure comprehensive care

  • Educate patients and families on the labor and postpartum processes

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts for coverage; no mandatory on-call required

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN License – Required

  • BLS and Advanced NRP – Required

  • AWHONN and PALS – Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of OB nursing experience with a focus in Labor & Delivery – Required

  • At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment – Required

  • Experience in critical access hospital settings – Highly Preferred

  • EPIC charting experience – Required
