Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid Wisconsin RN license with proven OB and L&D experience.
  • Certifications Requirements: AHA BLS, Advanced NRP, valid state RN license, and any additional required certifications.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of OB with L&D experience, charting experience with EPIC EMR preferred, and familiarity with labor and delivery procedures.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work night shifts, flexible with weekend and holiday rotations, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care to postpartum patients, ensuring safety and comfort during and after childbirth.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding promptly to any abnormalities or emergencies.
  • Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols, documenting all procedures accurately in EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for obstetric patients.
  • Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum care, and newborn care to promote health and wellness.
