Local Travel Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant – Portage, WI
13-Week Contract | Night Shifts | Weekly Pay Up to $1,500

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Med/Surg for a local travel contract in Portage, WI. 

Position Details:

  • Location: Portage, WI
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Weekend/Holiday: Every third to every other weekend & holiday rotation
  • Floating: May be required to float to other units as needed
  • On-Call/Call Back: No on-call requirements

Job Description:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and changes in patient conditions.
  • Support nursing staff in executing medical procedures and patient mobility assistance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Wisconsin.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
  • Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Mandatory).
  • Required Skills: Competency in Med/Surg patient care.
  • Radius Rule: Must reside 50+ miles from Portage, WI.

Unit Information:

  • Patient Population: Medical and surgical patients, including joint replacements and general surgical patients.
  • COVID Beds: 11 designated COVID beds in a separate section of the unit.
  • Desired Traits: Hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, social, team-oriented, and confident in skills.
  • Scrub Color: Dark blue.
