Local Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Wausau, WI
Connected Health Care is seeking a dedicated Local Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Wausau, WI. We are looking for skilled professionals ready to make a difference in patient care.
Contract Length:Â 13 weeks
Start Date:Â ASAP
Guaranteed Hours Per Week:Â 36 hours
Shift Requirements:Â 12-hour shifts (Day/Night variable)
Weekend/Holiday:Â Every other to every third weekend; every other holiday as applicable
On Call/Call Back Requirements:Â N/A
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Current Wisconsin RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Highly preferred: Ability to read and interpret telemetry.
- Minimum of 2+ years of Med/Surg experience.
- Epic charting experience preferred.
Unit Overview:
- 16-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically of 4-5 on days, 5-6 on evenings, and 6-7 on nights.
- Staffing: 3 RNs on days, 3 on evenings, and 2 on nights.
- Scrubs: Any color.
