Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Certifications Requirements: Valid Wisconsin RN License, BLS certification, Trauma Level II experience certification (if applicable)
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital med/surg experience, prior travel experience required, charting experience with Epic required
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills, excellent team collaboration skills

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-centered care to postoperative and geriatric surgical patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient acuity and needs.
  • Monitor, document, and update patient status using Epic EMR, ensuring accurate and timely charting and medication administration via Rovers and Alaris pumps.
  • Prioritize multiple patient care assignments efficiently while maintaining high-quality care standards during 12-hour night shifts.
  • Assist in patient recovery post-surgery, providing education and support to patients and their families to ensure a smooth transition through the continuum of surgical care.
