Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Evansville, IN
13-Week Contract | Up to $2,550 Weekly | 12-Hour Day Shifts
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated Travel Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a respected healthcare facility in Evansville, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse seeking a rewarding travel assignment in a dynamic hospital environment while enjoying all that southern Indiana has to offer.
Position Overview:
As a Travel Med/Surg RN, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients recovering from surgery or managing acute medical conditions. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for every patient.
Assignment Details:
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Compensation: Up to $2,550 per week (based on experience)
• Shift Requirement: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7 PM)
• Float Requirement: First to float within skillset
• On Call/Call Back: Not applicable
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
Job Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient progress accurately
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Adapt quickly to fast-paced hospital settings and changing patient needs
Education and Certification Requirements:
• Active Compact RN License (required)
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) (required)
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of strong Med/Surg experience
• Travel Experience: Minimum of 2 previous travel assignments
• Trauma Level Experience: Level II trauma experience required
