Local Travel Medical Technologist (Med Tech) - Rhinelander, WI
Connected Health Care is seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (Med Tech) for a 13-week local travel contract in Rhinelander, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced lab professionals looking to expand their careers while working with a leading healthcare staffing firm.
Job Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 72 hours biweekly, OT after 80 hours in the second week
Shift Requirements: 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM, 10-hour variable shifts (flexible scheduling required)
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
On-Call/Call-Back Requirements: N/A
Job Description
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and kit test processing.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures and process specimens efficiently.
- Work primarily as a Lab Assistant with Phlebotomy responsibilities while toggling between MLT and lab assistant duties as needed.
- Utilize Epic and Meditech for charting and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
- MLT, MT, or CLS certification required (ASCP preferred but not required).
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 3+ years core lab experience required.
- At least one previous travel assignment required.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong phlebotomy and lab processing skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing workflows and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hardworking, resilient, and able to manage change effectively.
- Friendly and social candidates preferred.
Dress Code
- Scrubs in any color are permitted.
