Local Travel NICU Respiratory Therapist – Wauwatosa, WI
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,150/Week (Based on Experience)
Night Shifts: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Rotation

Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking an experienced NICU Respiratory Therapist for a local travel assignment in Wauwatosa, WI. Join a leading healthcare facility where you’ll provide critical respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU and PICU. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a high-acuity environment while enjoying the flexibility of local travel.

Job Description:

  • Provide advanced respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the NICU, PICU, and other acute care units

  • Float to general med/surg units and emergency departments as needed

  • Utilize EPIC Clin Doc for accurate and timely documentation

  • Ensure high standards of care and patient safety across all assigned units

  • Support patients with ventilator management, airway care, and blood gas analysis

  • Educate families and caregivers on respiratory care practices and procedures

Shift Details:

  • Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

  • Weekends: Every other weekend (occasionally every 3rd)

  • Holidays/On-Call: No holiday or on-call requirements

Requirements:

  • Licensure/Certification:

  • Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy License

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – required

  • AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NRP – required

  • Education: Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy (AD)

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pediatric critical care or Level IV NICU

  • Must be able to function independently in both NICU and PICU settings

  • EMR: Experience with Epic Clin Doc – preferred
