Travel NICU Respiratory Therapist – Wauwatosa, WI
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,300/Week | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Start ASAP
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced NICU Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This high-paying opportunity is ideal for RTs who specialize in Level IV NICU and PICU care and are ready to bring their skills to a collaborative and innovative healthcare environment.
Position Overview:

Location: Wauwatosa, WI
-
Contract Length: 13 weeks
-
Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-hour night shifts
-
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd
-
Holiday Rotation: None required
-
Float Requirements: Primarily PICU and NICU, with occasional float to general med/surg and EDTC
-
Compensation: Up to $3,300 per week, based on experience
Job Responsibilities:
-
Provide advanced respiratory therapy for critically ill neonates and pediatric patients
-
Manage ventilators, administer aerosol treatments, perform arterial blood gas analysis
-
Collaborate with NICU and PICU teams in developing and executing patient care plans
-
Accurately document patient care using Epic Clin Doc (preferred)
-
Support emergency procedures, intubations, and code responses as needed
-
Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards
Qualifications:
-
NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
-
Active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner License
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NICU or Pediatric Critical Care
-
Proficiency in both PICU and Level IV NICU environments
-
AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NRP certifications required
-
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or higher
-
Epic experience preferred
