Travel NICU Respiratory Therapist – Wauwatosa, WI
13-Week Contract | Up to $3,300/Week | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Start ASAP

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced NICU Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This high-paying opportunity is ideal for RTs who specialize in Level IV NICU and PICU care and are ready to bring their skills to a collaborative and innovative healthcare environment.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Wauwatosa, WI

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM | 12-hour night shifts

  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend, occasionally every 3rd

  • Holiday Rotation: None required

  • Float Requirements: Primarily PICU and NICU, with occasional float to general med/surg and EDTC

  • Compensation: Up to $3,300 per week, based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced respiratory therapy for critically ill neonates and pediatric patients

  • Manage ventilators, administer aerosol treatments, perform arterial blood gas analysis

  • Collaborate with NICU and PICU teams in developing and executing patient care plans

  • Accurately document patient care using Epic Clin Doc (preferred)

  • Support emergency procedures, intubations, and code responses as needed

  • Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required

  • Active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner License

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in NICU or Pediatric Critical Care

  • Proficiency in both PICU and Level IV NICU environments

  • AHA BLS, AHA PALS, and NRP certifications required

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or higher

  • Epic experience preferred
