Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent
  • Certifications Requirements: AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Experience Requirements: 3-5 years of pediatric critical care or NICU experience
  • Other Requirements: WI license, NBRC RRT certification, ability to function on PICU and Level IV NICU, proficiency with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, excellent communication skills, ability to manage ventilator equipment and perform intubations

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in the NICU and PICU settings, including maintaining and managing ventilators such as Servo I, Trilogy, and Oscillators.
  • Perform intubations, extubations, and suctioning procedures proficiently, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation such as CPAP, BiPAP, RAM cannula, and NAVA ventilation.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to develop and execute comprehensive respiratory care plans tailored to pediatric patients.
  • Document patient care activities accurately using Epic Clin Doc system, and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
