Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician – 8-Hour Day Shifts – Appleton, Wisconsin
Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in Appleton, Wisconsin to find a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technician for 8-hour day shifts. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nuclear Medicine Tech to join a dedicated healthcare team in a fast-paced and dynamic medical setting.
Job Description:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures including imaging, injections, and tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to capture images of patients' organs, tissues, and bones.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and follow safety protocols to minimize exposure.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate diagnostic procedures for patients.
- Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
- Document all procedures and patient information accurately in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
- Participate in on-call/callback requirements, which include 1 night during the week and 2 call weekends per 13-week contract. The expected response time for on-call is 120 minutes.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) or ARRT(N) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Nuclear Medicine) certification required.
- Associates Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Experience in nuclear medicine imaging techniques required.
- EPIC charting experience preferred.
Required Experience:
- 1+ year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technician.
- Experience performing a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures.
- Ability to perform imaging procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle on-call/callback requirements with flexibility.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and healthcare teams.
