Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: Valid RN licensure in the state of Georgia or appropriate multi-state compact license
  • Certifications Requirements: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required by facility
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room (OR)
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work 3-12 shift schedule, strong communication skills, flexibility to float to different OR specialties, proficient in EMR documentation systems, physical ability to stand for long periods

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout all surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to prepare and maintain a sterile environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage using the facility's EMR system.
  • Assist in the preparation, setup, and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies prior to procedures.
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes, ensuring optimal outcomes and compliance with hospital policies.
