Local Travel OR Registered Nurse (RN) – Days - East Setauket, NY
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,550 (Based on Experience)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shifts, Typically 8 Hours (Monday–Friday)
No Nights, Weekends, Holidays, or On-Call
Connected Health Care, a trusted recruitment and staffing partner for healthcare professionals nationwide, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week local travel assignment in East Setauket, New York. This is a highly sought-after daytime role with no night, weekend, or on-call requirements — ideal for RNs looking for work-life balance and clinical growth.
Position Overview:
As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by providing safe and effective care before, during, and after surgery. This position requires efficiency, strong clinical skills, and the ability to collaborate with surgeons and the surgical team.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is sterile and functional
-
Assist in surgical procedures while maintaining aseptic techniques

Monitor patient vitals and advocate for patient safety throughout surgery
-
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs
-
Document all aspects of care in compliance with facility protocols
Education and Certification Requirements:

Active RN license in the state of New York (Required)

BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA (Required)

Minimum of 1 year of operating room nursing experience (Required)

Knowledge of orthopedic, spine, and pain management surgical procedures (Preferred)
