Local Travel PICU Registered Nurse – Wauwatosa, WI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $3,000 Based on Experience
Shift: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM | 12-Hour Nights
Schedule: Every Other Weekend (Friday–Sunday) | No On-Call Required | Holiday Coverage as Needed
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is currently seeking a Local Travel Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our client’s renowned healthcare facility in Wauwatosa, WI. If you have a passion for pediatric critical care and are ready to float across various inpatient units, this opportunity offers both challenge and reward in a dynamic setting.
Job Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients
-
Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor vitals and responses
-
Utilize advanced pediatric clinical judgment in emergency and routine scenarios
-
Float as needed to NICU, Acute Care, and other inpatient units, including critical care
-
Accurately chart and manage patient information using EPIC (preferred)
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
-
Support and comfort patients' families with compassion and professionalism
Requirements:
-
Active WI or Compact RN License
-
Current AHA BLS and AHA PALS certifications
-
Minimum 1+ year of recent PICU experience required
-
EPIC charting experience preferred
-
Strong adaptability and readiness to float across units
-
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, emotionally demanding environment
