Local Travel Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Days - Wauwatosa, WI
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,850 (Based on Experience)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 12-Hour Days
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Requirement: As Assigned (Potential for July 3, 4, and Labor Day Weekend)
Float Requirement: Required – Travelers will float first to other acute care units as needed
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse for a local travel assignment in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. This is a fantastic opportunity for compassionate pediatric RNs to make a difference in a high-acuity setting while enjoying a flexible, well-compensated schedule.
Position Overview:
As a Pediatric RN, you will provide specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, manage complex cases, and ensure a safe and comforting environment for pediatric patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct patient care to pediatric patients in accordance with nursing best practices and hospital protocols
-
Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatments as ordered
-
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and discharge care plans
-
Respond to emergencies and provide age-appropriate interventions
-
Document assessments and care using the EPIC EMR system
-
Support care coordination by communicating with physicians, specialists, and therapists
-
Float to other acute care units when needed
Education and Certification Requirements:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
-
Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License – Required
-
AHA BLS Certification – Required
-
AHA PALS Certification – Required
Experience Requirements:
-
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric inpatient hospital experience – Required
-
EPIC charting experience – Highly Preferred
