Travel Pharmacist Job Description
- Provide inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting
- Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and safely
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to optimize medication therapy
- Monitor patient medication profiles for safety, interactions, and effectiveness
- Participate in medication management and formulary compliance
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards
- Accurately document all pharmacy activities using EPIC Willow
Minimum Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
- Experience in inpatient practice areas preferred
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active Iowa Pharmacist License required
- EPIC Willow charting experience required
