Travel/Contract Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) – Winston-Salem, North Carolina
13-Week Contract | Weekly Pay Up to $2,250 (Based on Experience)
Connected Health Care, a premier recruitment and staffing agency, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Winston-Salem, NC. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected healthcare partner while experiencing one of North Carolina’s most dynamic cities.
Job Description – PCU RN Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring in a step-down or progressive care setting

Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms, respond to emergent changes in patient conditions
-
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
-
Administer medications, perform complex assessments, and provide advanced patient education
-
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and standards
-
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Licensure & Certifications Required

Active RN License – North Carolina or Compact State

BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA)
-
ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (Required for Resource Team placement)

PCCN – Progressive Care Certified Nurse (Preferred)
Education Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)

At least 1 year of recent PCU or step-down unit experience preferred
