Job Requirements
- Education Requirements: Nursing degree from an accredited institution (Associate's or Bachelor’s)
- Certifications Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement)
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting
- Other Requirements: Valid North Carolina RN license, ability to perform drain care, central line management, G/J tube management, heparin and cardiac GTT management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, NGT placement/management, and surgical drain management; strong teamwork skills, and ability to float regionally within designated facilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients, including those with HPB conditions, women’s surgeries, and plastic surgery post-op recovery.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment, promptly responding to arrhythmias or changes in patient status.
- Manage surgical drains, G/J tubes, central lines, and IV therapies, ensuring proper maintenance and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and assist with procedures such as drain care, NGT placements, and wound management.
