As a Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This includes administering chemotherapy treatments and medications to patients in accordance with protocols.

To give you an idea of how this Travel/Contract RN (Oncology Infusion) role will look and feel, here are some areas you can expect to work in:

• Monitoring patients' responses to treatments and collaborating with oncologists and healthcare teams
• Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care techniques
• Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients throughout their cancer journey
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation of treatments and interventions
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care

To excel in this RN position, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree (ADN) with the intent to pursue a BSN and active RN license in Colorado or compact state licensure. Additional qualifications include:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oncology Nurse, including administering chemotherapy
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Excellent clinical and critical-thinking skills to handle diverse patient needs
• Empathy, compassion, and excellent communication skills
