Local Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Critical Care | Lawrenceville, GA
Connected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVICU RN) for a 13-week contract in Lawrenceville, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse with open-heart critical care experience to work in a specialized Cardiac Care ICU unit.
Job Details
- Position:Â Local Travel CVICU RN
- Location:Â Lawrenceville, GA
- Contract Length:Â 13 weeks
- Schedule:Â Negotiable (12-hour shifts)
- Start Date:Â ASAP
- Floating:Â As required by facility guidelines
Job Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care for post-operative open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients.
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and specialized cardiac equipment.
- Monitor patients for signs of complications and intervene as needed.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments.
- Work closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records using Cerner.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Active Georgia RN License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including at least 6 months of open-heart critical care experience – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) – Preferred
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Preferred
