Connected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVICU RN) for a 13-week contract in Lawrenceville, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse with open-heart critical care experience to work in a specialized Cardiac Care ICU unit.

Job Details

• Schedule: Negotiable (12-hour shifts)

• Floating: As required by facility guidelines

Job Responsibilities

• Provide advanced critical care for post-operative open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients.
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and specialized cardiac equipment.
• Monitor patients for signs of complications and intervene as needed.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments.
• Work closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records using Cerner.

Education & Certification Requirements

• Active Georgia RN License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including at least 6 months of open-heart critical care experience – Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) – Preferred
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Preferred
