Local Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) | Lawrenceville, GA
Connected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel ICU RN for a 13-week contract in Lawrenceville, GA. This position is ideal for an experienced Cardiac ICU nurse looking for a dynamic opportunity in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiac Care ICU unit.
Job Details
- Position:Â Local Travel ICU RN (Cardiac ICU)
- Location:Â Lawrenceville, GA
- Contract Length:Â 13 weeks
- Schedule:Â Varies (12-hour shifts)
- Start Date:Â ASAP
- Floating:Â As required by facility guidelines
Job Responsibilities
- Provide critical care for post-operative open-heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients.
- Manage advanced life support equipment, including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers.
- Monitor patients for signs of complications and intervene accordingly.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation using Cerner.
Education & Certification Requirements
- Active Georgia RN License (or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) – Preferred
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Preferred
- Open-heart ICU experience – Required

- Advanced knowledge of cardiac monitoring and emergency interventions
