Job Description

Local Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical | Canton, GA

Connected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical for a 13-week contract in Canton, GA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Med/Surg RN to work in an Acute Neuro Unit, providing care to post-surgical and acutely ill patients.

Job Details

  • Position: Local Travel Med/Surg RN
  • Location: Canton, GA
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Floating: May be required within unit guidelines

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from acute illnesses and various surgical procedures.
  • Specialize in neurosurgery, neurology, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery, and general surgery.
  • Care for both ambulatory patients who can provide some self-care and bedridden patients who require total care.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and continuous assessments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation using the facility’s charting system.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Active Georgia RN License (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience – Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – Required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required
