Local Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit - Days - Cumming, GA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Variable Days
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,160 (based on experience)

Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing agency, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) for a 13-week local travel assignment with one of our respected healthcare partners in Cumming, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse looking to expand their clinical skills while making an immediate impact.

Position Overview:
The PCU RN will provide high-acuity care to patients requiring close monitoring and complex assessments. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients transitioning from critical care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care in a Progressive Care (step-down) setting

  • Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and progress

  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced nursing interventions

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other nursing staff

  • Document all nursing care accurately using facility EMR system

  • Respond quickly to changes in patient status and provide rapid intervention when needed

  • Educate patients and families on ongoing care and treatment plans

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia – Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA Required

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification – Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care or Telemetry unit – Required
