Connected Health Care is partnering with a healthcare facility in Imperial, NE, to find a dedicated ED/Acute Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week local travel contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency department and acute care settings, with the ability to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. Job Description:
As an ED/Acute Care RN, you will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing medical emergencies, injuries, or acute illnesses. You will be responsible for patient assessments, triaging, and administering medications while working collaboratively with the medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Care settings.
- Provide immediate care for medical emergencies, trauma, and acute illnesses.
- Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans.
- Assist in trauma care, including triage and stabilization.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort through careful monitoring and interventions.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required. TNCC highly prefered.Â
- Previous experience in the Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Care settings required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical assessment skills.
