Connected Health Care is partnering with a healthcare facility in Benkelman, NE, to find a skilled ED/Acute Care Registered Nurse for a 13-week local travel contract. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic setting and provide high-quality care to patients in need of emergency and acute care services. Job Description:
As an ED/Acute Care RN, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients in urgent or critical conditions. You will assess, treat, and stabilize patients in the emergency department, handling everything from trauma care to acute medical conditions. Working closely with physicians and healthcare teams, your role is essential in ensuring a high standard of care and efficient patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Care setting.
- Perform patient assessments and triage patients based on their condition and severity.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
- Assist in trauma care and stabilization of critically ill patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to develop and execute care plans.
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely interventions in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required. TNCC highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Department (ED) and Acute Care settings required.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
