Local Travel Step Down Unit Registered Nurse – Lawton, OK
13-Week Contract | Up to $2,550/Week (Based on Experience)
Night Shifts: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Float to Med/Surg or ER as Needed

Job Description:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step Down Unit (SDU)

  • Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate care between the ICU and Med/Surg

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Float to Med/Surg or ER to manage CVCU and Med/Surg holds as needed

  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in patient condition

  • Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records

  • Follow all hospital policies and regulatory requirements for patient safety and care standards

Shift Details:

  • Schedule: 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

  • Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to Med/Surg and ER

  • Experience Requirement: At least 6 months of recent nursing experience

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Oklahoma

  • Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) – required

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a Step Down, Med/Surg, or similar acute care unit

  • EMR Proficiency: Familiarity with modern electronic charting systems preferred
