Travel Surgical Technician – Hendersonville, NC
13-Week Contract | Up to $2,400 per week (DOE)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technician for a premier healthcare facility in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This assignment is perfect for surgical techs with diverse OR experience, looking to advance their career while living in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains.
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,400 (based on experience)
- Shift: 8-Hour Nights | 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Floating: None required
- On-Call/Callback: Call rotation required
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready
- Assist surgeons during operations, passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Perform cases in multiple specialties including General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci), Orthopedics (joint, sport & spine), Endo, Urology, C-sections, and Cataract/Retina
- Must have hands-on experience with Cataracts/Retinas, Vascular (thrombectomy), and C-sections
- Other cases may include Bariatrics, OBGYN, ENT, and additional Vascular procedures
- Maintain surgical equipment, monitor instrument counts, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure smooth surgical workflow
Education & Certification Requirements
- CST Certification (NBSTSA) – required
- AHA BLS Certification – required
- Minimum of 2+ years OR experience in required specialties
- Demonstrated competency in diverse surgical procedures including robotics and microsurgery
