Travel Surgical Technician (CST) – Hendersonville, NC
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Weekly Compensation: Up to $2,310 (based on experience)
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking a skilled Travel Surgical Technician for one of our top healthcare partners in Hendersonville, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist to gain valuable experience in a supportive environment while enjoying the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Position Details
- Specialty: Surgical Technician (CST)
- Location: Hendersonville, NC
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 8-hour mids, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
- Floating: None required
- On-Call: Call rotation required
- Holiday Requirement: One 24-hour call shift per contract
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies for various procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment at all times
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment with precision and efficiency
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate tools during procedures
- Monitor and maintain sterile technique throughout surgeries
- Support a wide range of cases, ensuring patient safety and quality care
Required Experience (Hard Stops)
- General Surgery
- Robotics (Da Vinci)
- Orthopedics (joint, sports, and spine)
- Endoscopy
- Urology
- OB/GYN including C-Sections
- Ophthalmology including Cataract/Retina cases
- Must also have experience with vascular procedures (including thrombectomy)
Other Case Exposure Includes
- Bariatrics
- ENT
- Additional vascular procedures
Education and Certification Requirements
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA required
- AHA BLS certification required
- Recent operating room experience in the required case types listed above
