Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract
Location:Â Wausau, WI
Shift:Â 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
Job Overview
Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Wausau, WI. This 13-week contract is ideal for a skilled RN with strong cardiac and telemetry experience, looking to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Position Details
- Start Date:Â April 7, 2025
- Contract Length:Â 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours:Â 36 per week
- Shift:Â 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement:Â Every other weekend & every other holiday
- Float Requirement:Â Float to all inpatient units as needed
- On-Call Requirement:Â None
Requirements
Required Certifications:
- Active Wisconsin RN License
- BLS & ACLS (AHA or Red Cross)
- Must pass EKG test in the first week of hire
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum:Â 2+ years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
- Required:Â 1+ year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac Stepdown, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- Experience with:Â Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips (Mandatory)
- Travel Experience:Â At least one completed travel assignment required
- Charting System: Minimum of 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience
Unit Overview
- Bed Size: 44-bed Intermediate Cardiac Stepdown
- Patient Types:
- Post-op CABG/Valve Surgery
- Thoracotomy & Vascular Cases
- Arrhythmias, CHF, Acute Chest Pain/MI
- Post-procedure Cath, Pacemaker, Defibrillator, & Ablations
- Medical/Surgical overflow (Detox, DKA, COPD exacerbations, respiratory failure, etc.)
Patient Ratio: Typically 1:4
Scrubs:Â No specific color required
