Job Description:
Connected Health Care is seeking a Travel/Contract Telemetry Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Telemetry Unit (CTU) at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This is a 13-week contract offering a competitive weekly pay for qualified candidates.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses looking to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment with a strong focus on cardiac care. The unit is a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit that handles various cardiac and post-op cases, including CABG, valve surgery, thoracotomy, arrhythmias, CHF, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients with cardiac and post-operative needs, including those recovering from surgeries such as CABG, valve replacement, and more.
• Critical Drips: Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips is a must.
• High Patient Turnover: Manage high-volume cases with a patient ratio typically of 1:4.
• Charting: Use EPIC for patient charting (must have recent experience within the last year).
• Floating: Float across all inpatient units as required, based on facility needs.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Licenses/Certifications:
• WI RN License
• BLS and ACLS Certification
• Must pass an EKG test during the first week of hire.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years in IMC, PCU, or Telemetry nursing.
• At least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Care/Cardiac ICU).
• Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips experience is required.
• Travel Experience: At least one completed travel assignment required.
• EPIC Experience: Recent EPIC charting experience within the last year.
• Float Requirements: Willing to float to all inpatient units as needed.
