Travel First Assist Registered Nurse – 13 Weeks

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN First Assist looking to expand their expertise and gain valuable experience in a new setting. Job Description
- Provide skilled assistance to the surgical team during operations, including handling instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patient vitals and surgical site throughout procedures to ensure safety and quality.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhere to hospital policies, and follow OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to deliver optimal patient care.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient assessments, documentation, and support.
- Utilize critical thinking and technical skills to ensure successful surgical outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing communication with patients, families, and surgical team members to provide a supportive care experience.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Current and unencumbered RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- RN First Assist Certification (CRNFA) or Surgical First Assist Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a First Assist Registered Nurse in a surgical setting.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate approach to patient care and dedication to upholding patient safety standards.
